On behalf of the Service members and military families who call Joint Base Lewis-McChord, as well as the Pacific Northwest home, welcome to the 2023 JBLM Airshow & Warrior Expo.

This is our first airshow in seven years, and it’s great to be back. This all-day, weekend event features the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as its marquee act. Our 2023 JBLM Airshow & Warrior Expo team has compiled an all-star lineup of capabilities which present the full scope and breadth of our nation’s air and ground forces, past and present.

We’re also celebrating 50 years of women in modern military aviation and 30 years of women in combat aviation during the airshow.

JBLM is one of our nation’s most prominent and vital power projection platforms, and there’s no better way to celebrate our true joint Army-Air Force partnership here than by showcasing the equipment Airmen and Soldiers use at the base every day.

During the event, you will be able to experience about 30 static displays of military and civilian equipment and personnel who represent the best of our military. These displays have come from across the country to provide our Puget Sound Great American Defense Community the opportunity to showcase these military capabilities and to interact with you in a personal and dynamic way.

We have these events because we owe the American people the opportunity to come on the base and get an up-close look at their armed forces and the equipment service members use every day. More importantly, our JBLM Airshow & Warrior Expo demonstrates our service members’ readiness and helps to educate the public through demonstrations of our weapons’ systems and capabilities. Open houses also give us the chance to give something back to the people and communities who support us each day.

Senior leaders and junior Service members often hear “Thank you for your service” as we are out in the community. Please allow us to use the 2023 JBLM Airshow & Warrior Expo as our way of saying “Thank you for your support” to the greater South Puget Sound community.
